The new ITV documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, answered the question, which has been bugging us for quite some time now: is everything okay between Prince Harry and his brother Prince William? It also walked us through the struggles faced by new mom, Meghan Markle.
If reports are to be believed, there is an ongoing rift between the royal brothers, which was intensified when Harry and Meghan formed a separate royal household.
In the documentary, when interviewer Tom Bradby asked about the rift between him and his brother William, Harry said, "Inevitably stuff happens, but we're brothers, we'll always be brothers. We're certainly on different paths at the moment. I'll always be there for him, and as I know, he'll always be there for me. We don't see each other as much as we used to because we're so busy, but I love him dearly. The majority of stuff is created out of nothing. As brothers, we have good days, and we have bad days."
The documentary gives us a sneak-peek into Harry and Meghan's recent visit to South Africa with their adorable son Archie. We even saw Meghan talk about the struggles of being a new mom amidst the intense scrutiny by the British tabloids, which no doubt is distressing.
She said, "Any woman, especially when they're pregnant, you're really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging, And then when you have a new-born, you know...especially as a woman, it's really, it's a lot, so you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed its, yeah, well I guess."
Meghan further added, "I would hope that the world would get to a point where you just see us as a couple who is in love, I don't wake up every day and identify as anything other than who I have always been. I am Meghan, and I married this incredible man. This, to me, is just part of our love story."
There have been speculations that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might move to Africa with Archie. The place is special for Harry because both he and his late mother Princess Diana have done a lot of charity work here. Now, even his son seems to love Africa.
In the documentary, Harry mentioned, "He was looking out the window, he has found his voice now, and he was bouncing up and down. He was making more noise than he has ever made before and he is smiling the whole time."
