Down goes the last remaining unbeaten team in the National Football League.
In the place that they won't like to have their first loss at, the San Francisco 49ers saw their 8-0 start come to an end at home after the Seattle Seahawks escaped with a 27-24 overtime win.
Prior to the game, many think the Seattle-San Francisco showdown is a potential prelude to the National Football Conference Championship Game since they hold two of the three best records in the said conference.
And the game did not disappoint.
Seattle battled back from an early 0-10 deficit to take a 24-21 lead late in regulation before San Francisco kicker Chase McLaughlin scored on a 47-yard field goal to force overtime.
McLaughlin missed out on keeping the 49ers' perfect record alive after he badly missed a field goal attempt in the extension, curiously from 47 yards away as well.
Jason Myers won it for the Seahawks with a 42-yard field goal just as the clock struck zero.
Aside from snapping San Francisco's winning streak, Seattle's road win is special for various reasons.
According to ESPN Stats and Info, this is the league-leading third time this season that the Seahawks climbed back from 10 points down to win the game.

This is the Seahawks NFL-leading 3rd win after trailing by at least 10 points this season (also did it last week vs the Bucs).

Also, this is the second straight time that they had to pull off a comeback like that.
Last week at home, the Seahawks rallied from a 14 point deficit to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
If the Seahawks being called "The Comeback Kids" is not enough, quarterback Russell Wilson solidified his status as "The Domination Stopper".
As per ESPN Stats and Info, Wilson is now 6-0 all-time in games against teams eight or more games above .500.
One key highlight from Wilson on Monday night was an impressive pass on a 3rd and 16 situation to Malik Turner, who spun his through the 49ers defense and into their zone for the first down.

However, the "Russell Wilson Magic" was not entirely there as he threw an interception later in overtime that eventually led to McLaughlin's chance to win the game.
Even though Wilson got a sigh of relief that McLaughlin missed the field goal and eventually stole the win, Wilson's performance did not sit well with Skip Bayless.
Russell Wilson did some good and not so good things tonight. Lamar Jackson has taken the MVP lead.
