Kanye West popped in at Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) Camp des Loges training ground Wednesday to check in with Brazilian football star Neymar. West was in town with new girlfriend Julia Fox for the Paris Fashion Week but took a break from haute couture to surprise the Ligue 1 forward.
According to ESPN, both West and Fox had been creating quite the social media stir as they were spotted in my various venues in the fashion capital. They caused a bit of a buzz as they showed wearing matching and coordinated outfits to several events.
PSG is well-used to having Tinseltown superstars and big names gracing their games and events, but West made this surprise visit extra special as he came to look in on Neymar who is currently recovering from injury. The rapper was warmly welcomed by the power forward who handed him a special gift. West was presented with his own personalized PSG jersey with Neymar’s No.10 on the back.
Neymar posted a photo on Twitter of him and West posing to show off the rapper’s new jersey.
Just a few days earlier, West seemed to have made a hint of a collaboration with the Jordan brand – known mostly for producing PSG’s accompanying apparel. Previously, West had shared an image of the iconic Jordan Jumpman logo, along with a quote from Michael Jordan’s 31-year-old son Marcus, who said he was eager to see his father, West, and DJ Khaled doing a collaboration project this year.
Apparently, West has been dipping his toes a lot into soccer these days. He was seen in the crowd during the Atlanta United MLS vs Columbus Crew in July 2021. In fact, West had even taken up residence in Atlanta United’s Mercedez Benz Stadium in order to wrap up his 10th studio album, "Donda", and signed up 2 Chainz among his collaborators.
West seems to have been diving deep into sports as he has also been seen with former Tampa Bay Bucs Antonio Brown who is also rumored to be doing a rap collaboration post his infamous mid-game walk-out during a match with the New York Jets.
