A new image has been released, giving people an upside-down glimpse into the sequel for the hit animated movie “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”
In a tweet from the official “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” account, which is the name of the upcoming film, pals Miles Morales and Gwen Staci can be seen sitting next to each other upside down looking out at the New York City skyline. The caption simply reads “A new view from across the #SpiderVerse coming 12.13.”
The date indicates that a new “view” or trailer for the upcoming sequel will drop on Dec. 13. The sequel was announced shortly after the first movie released in December of 2018.
“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” made an impression with audiences with its stunning visuals and modern upbeat soundtrack. The 2018 film won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film among dozens of other awards.
The movie is set to have certain the cast members return such as Shameik Moore leading as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy and Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker. We will also be seeing Issa Rae’s introduction into the superhero world as Spider-Woman, Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk and Oscar Isaac as Spider-Man 2099.
The film is set to premiere on June 2, 2023.
