‘NCIS’ Alum Pauley Perrette Not Coming Back Because Of Mark Harmon

CBS has not yet officially announced an exact release date for “NCIS” Season 17. But what fans might want to know is that one of its characters won’t still be back next season, and the reason might have something to do with Mark Harmon.

Actress Pauley Perrette, who did not reprise her role as Abby Sciuto last season, won’t still be back in Season 17. Based on her latest social media post, someone tried to convince the actress to return to the show, but her answer is still no. In fact, she’s adamant that she won’t be returning.

“NO I AM NOT COMING BACK! EVER!” Perrette posted on Twitter. “(Please stop asking?) I am terrified of Harmon and him attacking me. I have nightmares about it. I have a new show that is SAFE AND HAPPY! You’ll love it! #HappyPlace Love y’all!”

According to Jezebel, there was a second tweet that contained “photos of what Perrette said was a crew member’s puffy and bruised eye, allegedly injured in an attack from Harmon’s dog.” However, the tweet can no longer be accessed by the link given by the publication.

However, some of the actress’ followers are not too happy with her “cryptic” posts. “This vague and cryptic stuff has got to stop,” Twitter user @LyriumBiotic commented on Perrette’s post. “From all accounts, Harmon never attacked you. His dog attacked a crew member ... again, not you ... and then he refused to give in to your demands. I don't know if you're under an NDA or what but these cryptic tweets have got to stop.”

Other fans want her to stop since Harmon could sue her. “I agree,” Carla Williams commented on her post. “She keeps making it sound as if he physically attacked her and, from what I understand, that’s not the case. Harmon may well sue her if she doesn’t stop implying this.”

However, another Twitter user noted that the fact that Harmon has not sued her yet might suggest that there’s something more to the story. “But if he doesn’t sue her, maybe there’s more to it than you know!” Janine Ward argued. “Seriously you weren’t there!”

Perrette is one of the original cast members of “NCIS” when the show started airing in 2003. She played the character Abby Sciuto from Seasons 1 to 15.
