A mother killed her 5-year-old daughter and dumped her body in a well because she was an obstacle to her affair.
The shocking incident happened in the Rae Bareli village in Uttar Pradesh, India.
According to the police, the woman, who has not been identified, had gone to her parent’s house for celebrating Holi. The woman had taken her daughter along.
The woman’s husband went looking for her and his daughter after she did not return back to her in-law’s house on the date she said would be. However, their efforts went in vain.
The woman’s in-laws later learned that the suspect was living with her boyfriend for the past two days. When she finally returned to her husband’s home the child wasn’t with her.
Suspicious over her statements, the family reported the incident to the police.
A search was initiated following which investigators found the body of the child inside a well. The body was removed and sent for an autopsy.
The police questioned the girl’s mother during which she confessed to murdering the child.
The suspect told investigators that she was having an affair with a younger man for over a year. The woman said that her daughter who knew about the affair told her that she would tell her father about it.
So to hide the affair, the woman and her boyfriend killed the child and threw her body into the well, police said.
Both suspects were arrested for murder.
In another incident, a mother strangled her 3-year-old daughter to death and then dumped her body in a construction site after the child took her father’s side during a scuffle over who should watch TV.
The shocking incident happened in the city of Bengaluru, India.
After the murder, the woman came back home and told her husband that the child is missing. She then joined her husband to search for the child. The police were alerted about the missing child who found the girl's body in a construction site. During interrogation, the woman told police that she killed her daughter because she was vexed with the child for supporting her father in the argument.
