'Mortal Kombat X' Update: Ed Boon Details Raiden's Powers! Plus Kano Leaked As Playable Character

Great news for "Mortal Kombat" fans! Tons of news has been revealed for the coming title "Mortal Kombat X." First we had a character leak and we got more acquainted with the fighting style of a legendary fighter. If the leak is to be believed then fans will be able to brawl in MKX with the metal-faced mercenary Kano! According to VG247 the leaked screenshots come from a German Magazine that was posted to Twitter.

The tweet uploaded by Ryan, @westkoastkilla, simply said, "Kano in MKX #KANO #MORTALKOMBAT #MKX" and showcased Kano fighting with Kotal Khan. Check it out below:

In addition to Kano we know "Mortal Kombat X" will feature fighters Raiden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero plus newcomers Cassie Cage, D'Vorah, Ferra & Torr and Kotal Kahn.

Ed Boon also revealed a new walkthrough video of Raiden's new fighting styles in "Mortal Kombat X." The first variation showcased is called Thunder God Raiden and it enhances the characters overall thunder attacks. The second dubbed The Displacer Raiden grants additional teleportation attacks, which makes it harder to pin him down. Lastly, the Storm Lord style allows players to create lightning traps so you can easily control the battlefield. Check out all these fighting styles in the video below:

"Mortal Kombat X" currently has a launch window for 2015 for Sony's PlayStation 3, PS4, the Microsoft Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
