A mother of four was allegedly killed by her former partner months after the two women broke up in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, Nov. 17.
The deceased was identified as Corneshia Butler. She was allegedly fatally shot by her ex-partner named Shakiya Perkins.
It was added that Butler had a restraining order on Perkins after the latter allegedly burned the former’s Mercedes Benz last year and stalked her for months.
Perkins was allegedly envious of Butler and executed the violent act in front of the mother’s kids.
It was found that Butler had ended her relationship with Perkins months ago with the pair dealing with domestic issues throughout their six-year union.
Perkins allegedly published cryptic posts the day before the death of Butler, stating that it was time to start again and forget about the fast.
As a result, Perkins is charged with first-degree murder, possession of a firearm or weapon, and cruelty to children as posted by the Fulton County Police Department. Included in her criminal records was the case of her burning the Mercedes Benz of Butler on October 2021.
When word got out about Butler’s death went viral on social media, netizens were also mourning Shanquella Robinson. She was a young woman who died while vacationing in Cabo with a group of friends.
In related news, a mother was indicted on charges related to a car crash in July that claimed the life of her six-year-old daughter.
She was identified as Stacie Lee Reid of Forsyth County, accused of causing the crash that happened on July 28, 2022, on Crystal Cove Trail, WSB-TV reported.
Reid was indicted on three counts of first-degree vehicular homicide, three counts of serious injury by vehicle, two counts of driving under the influence and one count of reckless driving for a crash according to Forsyth County Superior Court documents.
The mom was reportedly driving her gray Toyota Camry at the time with her daughter buckled in a car seat at the back. The vehicle allegedly crossed over into the southbound lanes of Crystal Cove Trail and went off the side of the road at 3:15 p.m. but got back on the road but was then driving north in the southbound lanes according to deputies.
