The competition to find Miss Universe 2015 heats up in Las Vegas as the ladies face each other off in the preliminary competition. Evening gowns and swimwear is what the girls will be wearing and being judged on to see who makes it to the next round. Due to time constraints in the Sunday final show, these competitions take place before the event. With 80 participants it gets a little crazy to have them all up on-stage at the same time. Tonight we will find out which of the women representing their home countries make it to the top spots and get closer to that crown. You can watch the livestream here starting at 10pm ET/7pm PT! Who is your favorite to win?
Las Vegas will be the city hosting the Miss Universe 2015 beauty pageant and it has gotten a makeover. After the whole Donald Trump fiasco earlier this year and both Univision and NBC cutting ties with the Miss Universe Organization, it was forced to find a new home. Now the event will be aired on the FOX network, this after Trump also sold his stake as he pursues the U.S. presidency. Miss Colombia, Paulina Vega, was only crowned in January of this year and she will be handing over her reign to a new beauty at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casno on Sunday, December 20.
“Miss Universe is a unique, global media property and this partnership with FOX marks a new era for The Miss Universe Organization as a whole,” said Michael Antinoro, SVP of Original Content, IMG. “As the broadcast leader in innovative and groundbreaking live events, FOX is the perfect partner as we look to implement new and exciting changes to this show and the franchise.” David Madden, President, Entertainment, FOX Broadcasting Company also weighed in saying, "The Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants are iconic television events loved by generations of viewers around the world. We are very excited to partner with IMG and The Miss Universe Organization to infuse a fresh new energy into these perennial broadcast favorites."
