‘Minecraft 1.6’ Update Launched Today: See New Features And Better Performance Capabilities Released [VIDEO]

Today is the day "Minecraft" fans have been waiting for. The "Minecraft 1.6" update has launched. The "Minecraft 1.6" update will allow users to boast their performance and stability. Vg247.com says there is also "more password security options, the possibility of API plug-ins and much more."

Idigitaltimes.com reports, "The Minecraft 1.6 update also marks the end of the old Minecraft launcher's relevance, with the Minecraft 1.6 requiring the new launcher's presence. The word is that the new launcher is fully-capable of running older Minecraft builds thanks to some extra work from FML/Forge developer CPW."

If you find that you are not completely satisfied with the updates featured in "Minecraft 1.6" the makers of "Minecraft" are already planning to launch a new update that surpasses the 1.6 update and promises to fix any bugs and glitches found in the game's 1.6 update.

Idigitaltimes.com says "a slew of new bugs are (quite literally) meeting their maker after Mojang released the "Minecraft" 1.6.1 pre-release on Friday."

Idigitaltimes.com listed the new changes and updates that will be featured in the "Minecraft" 1.6.1 update. "Playsound to play specific sound files to specific players. Also possible to alter volume, pitch and minimum volume as well as give source coordinates to emulate the sound coming from a certain place. Added saturation status effect to fill up players' hunger bars and saturation."

Idigitaltimes.com also reported that game makers fixed the appearance of unarmored horses. They will no longer look as though they are wearing diamond armor.

The "Minecraft 1.6" Update will also introduce the game's new Resource Pack system, a variety of horse-related accessories, new hardened and stained clay blocks, and dozens of new bug fixes."
