Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just welcomed their firstborn, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, more than two months ago. But it’s not stopping fans and even bettors from speculating when the royal couple will have their second baby. And if a royal expert’s prediction is indeed accurate, the announcement might happen in just a few months.

Royal expert and chief correspondent for E! News Melanie Bromley said that Prince Harry and Meghan are a bit busy because the royal couple is preparing for their foreign trip to Africa this autumn. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might have something to announce right after their return.

“I do. And I think it will be really soon as well,” Bromley answered when asked by fans if Harry and Meghan might make their second baby announcement when they return from the trip. “I think she will be pregnant by this time next year. They have Africa in the fall, which will keep them really busy, so after that.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially announced their African tour via their Instagram account. “TRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited to announce that they have been asked to carry out a tour to Southern Africa this autumn,” reads the announcement.

The announcement also hinted that Baby Archie will be touring as well, which isn’t surprising since Harry’ mother, Princess Diana, started the trend of bringing him and Princess Harry on foreign trips when they were still little. “This will be their first official tour as a family!” the Instagram post concluded.

This means that Harry and Meghan will be visiting the continent between September and November this year. And if Bromley’s prediction of a second baby announcement to happen after the trip is spot on, then the duchess might be expecting her second baby around this time next year.

Apparently, it’s not only royal family fans who are excitedly waiting for Prince Harry and Meghan’s announcement. Bettors are likewise busy keeping abreast of the royal couple’s latest news as there’s an ongoing bet as to when they’ll be having a second child.

Online gambling company Betway says the odds are 2/1 that Meghan will be expecting next year right after the Frogmore Cottage renovation is finished. However, the odds are slimmer for the duchess to get pregnant again later this year and is calculated to be 10/1.

UK-based bookmaker Coral also reported a surge of bets on Harry and Meghan’s second child. “We have been inundated over the last few days with bets on Harry and Meghan having a second baby in 2020, and as always with gambles of this kind, there is seldom smoke without fire,” spokesman Alex Apati revealed.
