"Masters of Sex" returns to Showtime tonight with episode 2, "Race to Space." And while we don't think that we will be watching the U.S. and the USSR facing off in tonight's episode, be prepared for a serious showdown between Masters and Johnson. The episode begins with Johnson deciding how she will turn down Masters' proposal that they should have sex with another for the purpose of research. After dropping her children off at school, she is told by Master that their research has been canceled by Scully. The pair argues over Johnson's relationship with Ethan Haas, and Masters fires her.
Episode 2 takes an interesting turn when Masters moves his research to a brothel. Things will get especially steamy within the brothel where Masters continues his research, he now works with Betty and other prostitutes, explaining to them just what to do while engaging in sexual intercourse. But this work gets a bit handsy and out of hand, when the police discover Maters operation. While Johnson and Masters' relationship is seemingly over, his relationship with his wife is also in jeopardy. Libby is confused by her husband's research of sex and finds it perverse and peculiar.
The series based on real life sex pioneers, William Masters and Virginia Johnson continues tonight with episode 2 "Race To Space."
