Eminem
The "Slim Shady" rapper confesses to being "near death" for drug abuse.

Marshall Mathers, better known as Eminem, opened up about his drug addiction problems in the film "How To Make Money Selling Drugs."

"My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were gonna have to put me on dialysis, they didn’t think I was gonna make it. My bottom was gonna be death," the rapper said in the clip after being admitted to the hospital. "Within a month I had relapsed and shot right back up to the same amount of drugs I was taking."

When close friends approached "Slim Shady" about his substance abuse he refused to acknowledge the problem and justified himself.

“They know nothing about my (expletive) life. I’m not out there shooting heroin. I’m not out there putting coke up my nose. I’m not smoking crack.”

The major fight within was actually admitting the dilemma he faced.

"You're struggling with the argument of 'Do you have a problem, or do you not have a problem? Can you control or can you not? And I literally thought I could control it."

When he finally did achieve to clean his system he struggled talking as he explained in the clip below.

“Coming off of everything, I literally was up for three weeks straight," he says. "I had to regain motor skills. I to regain talking skills. So I would say to anybody that it does get better. You know, it just does.”

"How To Make Money Selling Drugs" is produced by "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier and features interviews with Susan Sarandon and Woody Harrelson.
