It’s becoming more and more usual for highly anticipated albums to be leaked online before the official release date. Lady Gaga just went through that stress, with her newest album “ARTPOP” being fully leaked ahead of time, and now Eminem is going through the same situation with his new material “The Marshall Mathers LP 2.” This comes as the rapper’s first album after he turned 40 last year, and according to New York Daily News’ Jim Farber, “The album offers a resounding return to the gory comedy and free embrace of psychosis that first made Em the antihero of our age. It’s his funniest album in years, as well as his fastest, verbally.”
After a lot of promotion, singles, and appearances including last weekend’s “Saturday Night Live,” it’s possible to get a whole taste of Eminem’s upcoming album by streaming or digital download. The track list has 16 singles, including “Rap God” and “The Monster,” featuring Rihanna. Rumor has it that there are 5 bonus tracks that will be only available on the album’s deluxe edition. In response to the leaked material, Slim Shady’s manager Paul Rosenberg decided to allow fans to stream it legally over iTunes Radio. “Stream it legally. (US Only)” Rosenberg wrote on his Twitter account, followed by an official link to “MMLP2."
