A 34-year-old man, only identified as "Adolfo N," created a terrifying scene this morning at the Veracruz International Airport Heriberto Jara Corona, in Mexico, where he attempted to commit suicide by slitting his throat with a piece of glass in front of dozens of people who were waiting to board their flights.

Around 8:30 a.m., the individual arrived to the airport's boarding area, where he entered a cafeteria and ordered a drink. Minutes later, just when the place was full, he proceeded to break the glass, took a piece of it and began to slit his throat around where the jugular is located.

Immediately, the Federal Police and the Mexican Army arrived and intervened, trying to control the man, who refused to get help. "Adolfo N" was allegedly shouting that he wanted to die, and even after hurting himself with the piece of glass, he opened up the neck wound even more by using his hands.

When officials were able to finally stop the man from attempting more ways to take his own life, they called paramedics and the Red Cross, who tried to perform different procedures to stop the man from bleeding out. They eventually took him to a hospital, but there's no word if the man survived or not.

Below is a video of the shocking scene when the man refuses to get help and tries to walk away from the officers visibly wounded. Viewer discretion is advised and we consider this footage not appropriate for minors as the video is full of graphic content.
