A man has been accused of killing his grandparents after they reportedly refused to give him money to buy alcohol in Damri village, Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, India.
The accused, identified as 20-year-old Himesh, was reportedly an alcoholic and constantly engaged in fights with his family members for money to buy alcohol. On June 22, Himesh allegedly engaged in a similar heated argument with his grandparents, Premshankar, 65, and Bhawan Devi, 60, after they refused to give him money to buy alcohol. In a fit of rage, Himesh reportedly killed both his grandparents following a confrontation. He proceeded to dump their bodies in two separate abandoned houses and fled their town, NDTV reported.
The incident came to light after the partially decomposed bodies of the victims were discovered inside the locked houses of their sons in Damri village under the Faizganj Police Station limits. Following the gruesome discovery, the authorities recovered the remains of the husband and wife, and sent the bodies for an autopsy examination, Times Now reported.
The accused, along with his grandparents lived in Delhi and had come to Damri village in Uttar Pradesh to attend a wedding.
Following the incident, the officers have lodged a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the matter and have initiated a manhunt to nab the accused, Himesh, who remains at large.
In a similar but unrelated incident, a man reportedly killed his 70-year-old father after the patriarch refused to give him money to buy alcohol in the Nanakheda Police Station area in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India, Latin Times reported.
On the day of the murder, the accused, identified as Ajay, an alcoholic, reportedly asked his father, identified as 70-year-old Moolchand, for money to buy alcohol. However, when Moolchand refused to give him the cash, a heated argument ensued between the father-son duo.
During the confrontation, Ajay, in a fit of rage, brutally thrashed his father. The injured father was later rushed to a nearby hospital by his neighbors and relatives for immediate treatment. However, Moolchand, who suffered grievous injuries from the beating, succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the facility.
