A man who was declared dead following a heart attack in India miraculously showed signs of life after an ambulance hit a speed bump, leading to his revival and treatment.

On December 16, 65-year-old Pandurang Ulpe suffered a heart attack in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead, India Today reported.

His family arranged for his body to be transported home for the last rites. However, during the ambulance ride, his fingers moved after crossing a speed bump, prompting them to rush him to another hospital.

Ulpe, after coming "back to life," underwent angioplasty and stayed in the hospital for two weeks. On December 31, he was discharged and walked home.

"I had come home from a walk and was sitting after sipping tea. I felt dizzy and breathless. I went to the bathroom and vomited. I don't remember what happened afterwards, including who took me to the hospital," Ulpe said.

The initial hospital that declared him dead has not commented on the incident, leaving many questions about their procedures unanswered.
