In a rather bizarre incident of sorts, a Spanish rapper was reportedly accused of chopping his roommate’s genitals off for social media fame. Aaron Beltran allegedly made a pact with Andrew Breach, an Oxford-educated British professor after the latter agreed to pay him a fee for doing the deed for YouTube fame. The charges were apparently dependent – ranging from $240 to $3000 – on how well the video fared online.
“On the afternoon of March 8, just before 7:15 p.m. when both men were in the victim’s bedroom, Andrew tied his pajama cord around the bottom of his penis to avoid hemorrhaging,” read the indictment, as cited in The Sun.
Beltran could face up to four and a half years behind bars if convicted of carrying out the grisly act in Zaragoza, Spain, in March 2019. “The accused, who was sat on a chair in front of him, cut his penis with a 12-inch kitchen knife which was never found because the accused got rid of it,” the report further added.
As per an officer’s version, Breach was found bleeding heavily after the ghastly act. Another officer added to the stance and maintained that the stunt was entirely Breach’s doing as he allegedly struggled from gender dysphoria.
“When interviewing the victim in hospital he told us the accused cut off his penis. Andrew said he did not feel 100% a man and wanted to get rid of his penis,” the cop told the court, further adding, “He agreed on a deal with the accused to pay him €200 which would depend on how many views the video of the amputation received on YouTube. It was done on the basis of hits.”
While prosecutors believe the amputation was consensual, they also vouched for Beltran to be held accountable for his role in the gory act. Proactive surgical care spanning three weeks resulted in a speedy recovery, as experts managed to re-attach Breach’s penis. He then returned to the U.K. Speculations are rife that the two men were under the influence of alcohol and Valium in order to get on with the plan, as cited in the New York Post.
Things took a different turn altogether when Breach retracted from his original stance that suggested Beltran was responsible. He is currently released on bail. “I cut off my own penis. I was unwell. It was myself,” he said, claiming that his previous statements were the result of pressure by the police to blame his roommate. The cops have outrightly denied the allegations.
