Maleficent Poster

After getting a sneak peek yesterday of Angelina Jolie as Maleficent in the new movie poster, we couldn't help but get chills. The 38-year-old actress looks fierce in a closeup of her face with the character's signature horns. To complete the stylish poster, Jolie's eyes allure us even more. They're very piercing green eyes with blue details, contrasting her red blood lips. As is that wasn't enough, Disney released the official trailer today, in which we see Angelina in all her glory as the "Mistress of All Evil."

The trailer starts situating us where this all happens, and hints us the first look of Jolie as Maleficent. She's a shadow that rises from the woods, but we know it's her because how could we not distinguish the iconic horns? Moments after, a voice over begins. It's Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning) saying "You've been watching over me my whole life," as little Aurora -- who happens to be Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, Angie and Brad Pitt's daughter -- runs through a field. Images of a grown up Aurora flash before our eyes, followed by the iconic moment when she's about to prick her hand on a spindle.

All this happens while Aurora's voice is heard. "I know you're there. Your shadow has been following me ever since I was small. Don't be afraid." Then, the moment we've been waiting for. A deep female voice is heard saying calmly, "I'm not afraid." Aurora, naively replies, "Then come out!" And our dreams come true! The first glimpse of Maleficent. Her intense eyes and her ruby lips. "Then you will be afraid," she said, finally stepping out, allowing us to see the witch in full costume, cheek implants and all.

Watch the trailer below and let us know your thoughts on it.
