Quintana Roo senator, Luz María Beristain made international headlines after insulting a VivaAerobus airline representative in a video that went viral in social media, which even gave her the hashtag #LadySenadora or #LadyDelSenado, and now, another compromising footage has been released, showing the politician insulting an officer after he pulled over the car Beristain was in to give the driver a ticket for a traffic violation.

In a video uploaded to Youtube, Beristain tells a cop that she "doesn't look like a felon" and discusses with him about whether or not he was following her "because you knew that I was addressing a press conference in favor of the PRD (Party of the Democratic Revolution)."

The police officer then asks her to let the driver explain her side of the traffic incident, but the senator keeps making excuses. "This lady (a female police officer) approaches me with a submachine gun telling me to be careful and to not get close to her."

"The harassment against the PRD has begun, it has already begun. We need to report it, a strong report. You should be ashamed of being a police officer, and a woman," she continued.

"If my bosses give me those instructions, I would not follow them. Why am I going to follow this lady for the simple fact of being from the opposition? No, I wouldn't follow them. It's not worth it. To be honest, you don't even deserve to be called Mexicans."

"Poor little thing, in return for bringing home the bacon, look at what she's forced to do," added Beristain pointing at the female police officer.

One of the other two ladies that were also in the car at the moment the police stopped them, said to be from the same party as Beristain and assured they singled them out because they belonged to the PRD.
