Last month media outlets reported that Mexico is the home of a 11-year-old genius who is slated to attend Harvard University. The young boy, Luis Roberto Ramírez álvarez, reportedly has an IQ between 152 to 160 and according to the Mexican National Giftedness, via the World Health Organization, a gifted person is an individual that scores more than 130 points on the IQ test.
"He's a boy who questions everything. Who likes different things, who learned too fast. Who sometimes had a lot of trouble socializing with other kids his age," said Fabiola álvarez de la Paz, the young boy's mother, according to CNNMéxico.
The young boy hails from Michoacán, Mexico and reportedly taught himself English, French and Mandarin Chinese at the young age of five. Additionally, he learned to read by age four, finished high school in three months and wants to study in Quantum Physics.

But the Harvard rumors turned out to be premature, as Harvard University revealed that the young prodigy had yet to apply to Harvard. The young boy revealed to local media that he never claimed he was going to Harvard and that media outlets got carried away with the story.
"We do not discuss individual students, but I can tell you that Harvard College has no record of this applicant," revealed Harvard University to Latin Times at the time.
