When your international soccer star Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez your struggles become the scrutiny of the entire world.
Yet, when the walls seem to be caving in around you, sometimes all you need is just one voice of strength and support guiding you through.
That was the case on Wednesday, when Chicharito's biggest fan and cheerleader, girlfriend Lucia Villalon posted a touching image on Instagram after Hernandez missed a wide-open goal in Bayer Leverkusen's 2-1 loss to FC Barcelona at Camp Nou in their UEFA Champions League match.
The Spanish television reporter has been dating Chicharito for the past few months and was in attendance for the match in her home country on Wednesday. With Bayer Leverkusen up 1-0 in the game, Chicharito missed a wide-open shot that he blasted over the net.
The error may have cost Bayer Leverkusen the game as Barcelona scored two unanswered goals to win. Had Hernandez netted the wide open shot, the game could have perhaps been put out of reach as the reigning champions were without the injured Lionel Messi.
After the match, the 27-year-old woman in Chicharito's life posted the following photo on her Instagram account writing this comforting message to her boyfriend:
"Know that I do not need more! You know that, right? This what I always want!"
The image is a black and white photo of Hernandez and Vilalon locked in a tender embrace. Who took the photo, we do not know, but we know the intimate moment was a beautiful reminder of what's important.
"Ya no me hace falta más! Lo sabes, no? Esto es lo que quiero siempre!!! ___ @ch14_instagram #flugenhaggen #1422 #7722 #pescaito #moque #teadoro"
