For Lu Lingzi, coming to the U.S. for a better education was her dream. She enroled in Boston University last year to pursue a graduate degree in Mathematics and Statistics.

Lingzi, 23, was the third fatal victim of the Boston Marathon bombings last Monday, identified by her father. Here are five top things to know about the tragic fate of a dream student:

1. She went to the marathon with two friends.

Another one of her friends, fellow BU student Zhou Danling who is in a comma at the Boston Medical Center with serious injuries. The third resulted intact.

2. The Chinese Embassy refused to disclose her name

The embassy issued an statement, but did not revealed who the victim was.

3. She has a BA in Economics

Before moving to the U.S., she studied economics at the Beijing Institute of Technology, where he graduated in 2012.

4. She used to work at Deloitte

While finishing her undergrad, she worked as a manager assistant at Deloitte Consulting.

5. The last photo of her was right before the marathon

She can be seen enjoying a breakfast of champions before the race.
