The Georgia Bulldogs continue to play a brutal schedule to start the 2013 College Football campaign and despite the fact that the 'Dogs stumbled in their season opener to No. 3 Clemson, the team continues to battle week after week while remaining in Top 10 and as one of the best teams in the always-competitive Southeastern Conference. Earning victories over then No. 6 South Carolina and North Texas following the loss to Clemson, Georgia kept themselves in the early title race but as the season continues, the match-ups get harder and harder and this week's contest is no different.

Set to host No. 6 LSU this weekend, quarterback Aaron Murray and the Bulldogs are completely aware of the challenge that lies ahead. The last time Georgia and LSU played was back on December 3, 2011 and things didn't go well for the Bulldogs. Falling to their SEC rivals 42-10, Georgia looked completely overmatched but as they run into another major opponent on the 2013 schedule, Murray - who has thrown for over 1,000 yards and 7 scores this season - understands that playing top-level opponents will ultimately help his Bulldogs down the road.

"Everybody says, 'Oh man, that must stink,'" Murray said recently. "But I think it's fun. I think everybody on this team thinks it's fun. It's fun preparing for these big type of games. It's fun playing in them. It adds a lot more excitement to the week."

Georgia tight end Arthur Lynch is also fully aware that a win over the No. 6 ranked team in the nation could certainly propel the team to greater heights down the road. After all, this is a Georgia team that came 5 yards away from advancing to last season's National Championship.

If you have a chance to win the SEC, you pretty much know every game has national championship implications," Lynch said. "First and foremost, the goal is to win the SEC East. We've been SEC East champions twice. We've been in the SEC championship game the last two years, but haven't had a chance to win. The next goal is to make that step. Whatever comes after that is gravy."
