'Lost In Space' Season 2 Is Disturbingly Thrilling, Makers Hint

Fans of the classic thriller series, here’s another reason to rejoice! "Lost in Space" Season 2 will be reaching your screen sooner than you’ve imagined. It is set to premiere on Tuesday, Dec. 24.

The storyline essays the lives of the Robinsons, a family space colonists, that gets zeroed in for an interstellar mission. Set in the time period of the ‘60s, the series is based on the iconic 1965 show that goes by the same name. The "Lost in Space" Season 2 will premiere on Netflix just right in time before Christmas and is one of the most anticipated shows of 2019.

The series is a riveting thriller, which revolves around the lives of Maureen and John Robinson. The Robinsons have three children, Will, Judy, and Peny, and the family gets selected to go on a space mission. But, things take an untoward turn when the spacecraft veers off course and dashes into a wormhole after an alien robot invades the ship, forcing the space colonizers onboard to evacuate.

Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio, and Parker Posey are, reportedly, appearing on "Lost in Space" Season 2.

The first season set the bar high, as the show followed an interesting storyline—where the Robinsons imprison June Harris, a psychopath and criminal, who turned up in the guise of Dr. Smith with a rather evil plan. But, the family ended up with their ship being controlled by aliens and drifted to a different, unknown galaxy with a twist.

The trailer of "Lost in Space" Season 2 was dropped by Netflix, in which one sees Will Robinson on the lookout for the Robot— a hunt that might change the Robinsons’ lives beyond recognition. Netflix had announced the release date of the series back in 2018 (On May 14, to be precise) but it wasn’t until October 2019 that the official release date of the series was recognized. Going by the official synopsis, a terrifying journey awaits the Robinsons.

"There's more danger – and adventure – ahead for the Robinson family. With Jupiter 2 stranded on a mysterious ocean planet without their beloved Robot, the Robinsons must work together, alongside the mischievous and manipulative Dr. Smith and the always-charming Don West, to make it back to the Resolute and reunite with the other colonists. But they quickly find all is not as it seems. A series of incredible new threats and unexpected discoveries emerge as they look for the key to finding Robot and safe passage to Alpha Centauri," the synopsis read.
