'Lo Imperdonable' Telenovela Univision
Univision's brand new primetime telenovela is based on a Caridad Bravo Adams classic and these are the reasons to watch the premiere! Televisa

Univision's primetime telenovela "Lo Imperdonable" is going to undergo major changes that will include many deaths. The production starring Ana Brenda Contreras and Iván Sánchez doesn't even have their leads safe according to producer Salvador Mejía. According to a recent interview he gave to TVyNovelas, Ana Brenda's Verónica character might die, but this could be just a ploy to get viewers excited and tuned in to the series. We heard through the grapevine that the characters will think Verónica dies and will not appear in a couple of episodes to make it seem she is out of the telenovela. Verónica would later return with a loss of memory, which would technically restart her whole storyline. Think about it, many characters are tied to the Verónica character. What would happen to Magdalena (Claudia Ramirez)? Her whole plot is about looking for her daughter Verónica. She can't possibly die.

While Verónica is away, Iván's Martín will be a little lonely. Mejía revealed that he is in talks with Adriana Louvier ("Yo No Creo En Los Hombres") to join the cast and guest star to form a love triangle. We are loving this idea already! One character that WILL DIE is Matilde, the sweet nanny of Verónica played by Delia Casanova. This saddens us as she was Verónica's support and was always there for her. We don't like when ultra sweet and noble characters die. The producer also mentioned that many more characters will be chopped from the telenovela in an effort to spark audiences interest. Salvador Mejía is also in talks with two leading men, Erick Elias and José Ron, to join the cast and mix things up. Which "Lo Imperdonable" character do you think should die?

All these changes that are coming to "Lo Imperdonable" are due to a lack of ratings. The telenovela has not been doing so hot in México and has already undergone changes in the writing team. Originally based on three telenovelas by Caridad Bravo Adams, with the main storyline being "La Mentira," audiences just didn't find the plot captivating to tune in to watch. After "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo" ended, people just sort of tuned out of watching television and have not returned. The producer is trying to find ways to spark and interest and have people return, but will killing all these characters be enough to save it? We can only find out once these episodes start airing. What we do know is that "Lo Imperdonable" needs to be faster-paced. When they drag storylines for weeks and nothing happens, that is reason enough for people to tune out. "Lo Imperdonable" airs stateside Monday through Friday at 10pm ET/PT on Univision.
