Congratulations are in order for the one of the greatest soccer players on the planet. Argentine superstar, Lionel Messi, announced on his Instagram on Wednesday that he and his girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo are expecting their second child together.
The Barcelona striker known as "La Pulga" or "The Flea," made the public announcement by posting an adorable photo of his first-born son Thiago hugging his mother kissing her baby bump.
The beautiful photo was posted in black and white and Messi added the caption:
"Waiting for you, baby! We love you!" in Spanish.
The addition of the new member of the Messi clan just adds to the accolades that the soccer superstar has received this year. Messi is the leading goal scorer on the top team in the La Liga table and is poised to advance the Catalan squad to the Champions League Final where they are expected to clash with their Spanish rivals, Real Madrid.
Thiago was born in 2012, and will reportedly become a big brother to a baby boy "Benjamin" later this year. Messi is three-time Ballon d'Or winner and has 49 goals in 52 appearances for Barcelona this season.
