World No. 1 golfer Tiger Woods and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn officially announced their relationship back in March and even though the celebrity super couple continue to remain busy with their respective careers, the connection between the pair appears to grow with each passing day. The 28-year-old Gold medalist has been seen supporting 37-year-old Tiger at multiple PGA Tour events this season and perhaps her strong support for the 14-time major champion is part of the reason Woods has 5 victories this year including a title at The Players Championship.
Though Woods certainly appears happy with the state of his current relationship, Lindsey Vonn wasn't shy about proclaiming her excitement about their partnership when speaking with People magazine recently. Vonn divorced ex-husband and former coach Thomas Vonn in 2011 and although she's previously stated that marriage isn't in the cards at the moment, the 2010 Olympic Gold medalist said that Tiger continues to be a tremendous part of her life. Beginning her skiing comeback after suffering injury from a crash at the world championships in February, it certainly must feel good for Vonn to have extra support. Woods is apparently an extremely clean person as well!
"There's really nothing about him that bothers me," Vonn told People. "He doesn't even leave the seat up! It's awesome. From a personal standpoint, everything in my life has changed. It's a complete 180 in a short period of time. I went from being married and living on my own in L.A. to having a new boyfriend and just being totally self-sufficient and super independent. It's awesome. I love it."
Lindsey Vonn was one of the best skier's in the sport right up until the injury forced her to have her knee surgically repaired. The most successful female skier in American racing history, Vonn says she's the same person she was before the accident and notes that she still has the same passion to succeed on the slopes.
"Physically I'm 100% now," Vonn said to USA Today. "I'm just looking forward to going fast. I've been in the gym far too long. I'm ready to be out in the fresh air. I've been working so hard for so long to get back. I don't care what I do as long as I'm on snow. I just want to get back to my job. I'm the same person I was before. I'm an Olympic ski racer. I don't read into what people say especially now. Whether people know me for my skiing or not is really irrelevant because people in ski racing know and respect me and that's all that really matters."
Vonn also noted that Tiger Woods has been great during her rehabilitation process since he's familiar with the steps after undergoing the same surgery and recuperation process in 2008 after winning the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. The two are apparently very competitive as well.
"Sometimes I get panicky and worried when a movement didn't feel right and he's like, 'Calm down you're fine'," Vonn said about the support from Woods. "We're really competitive with everything, ping pong, tennis and whatever. I usually lose, which is really depressing."
