An epic and exciting new trailer from “The Legend of Korra” season two has been released featuring exciting new footage and the sense of impending doom. With the long-awaited “Legend of Korra” season 2 premiere, “Rebel Spirit,” only days away, Nickelodeon has decided to release a gripping new trailer for Book 2: Spirits.
Set six months after the first Korra series, books 2 partially take place at the South Pole, but along with exploring the Southern Water Tribe, the focus is mainly on the mystical "Spirit World" nd the history of the Avatar lineage and mythology. This season of “The Legend of Korra” features an all-star cast of well known actors and actresses.
“The Walking Dead's” Steven Yeun joins the cast as Wan, the first Avatar, who story from 10,000 years in the past features into two episodes. James Remar (“Dexter”) joins as Korra's father, Tonraq. Aubrey Plaza (“Parks and Recreation”) and Aaron Himelstein (“Joan of Arcadia”) play a pair of waterbending twins, while Lisa Edelstein (“House”) is Kya, Aang and Katara’s daughter.
The trailer notes that the “Legend of Korra” season 2 premiere will be composed of the first two episodes of the season -“Rebel Spirit” will be followed by “The Southern Lights.”
“The Legend of Korra” book 2 debuts Friday, September 13 at 7 p.m. on Nickelodeon.
