Fifth Harmony's Lauren Jauregui was reportedly arrested after Washington Dulles International Airport authorities found Marijuana in her carry-on luggage while the singer was ready to leave for Brazil where the group is set to perform.
It seems that the singer was a little more nervous than usual as she was going through the TSA process making an officer very suspicious about her behavior. Indeed, there was something going on and Lauren couldn't fake it. The officer stopped her to make a second check at a TSA checkpoint and he found a small bag of marijuana hidden in her carry-on luggage.
The news are all over the social media, especially because Lauren’s fans have created the new hashtag #FreeLauren asking the authorities to forgive her after the incident. Multiple users have been using this hashtag professing their love for the singer.
However, TMZ reported that Lauren's attorney said the singer was not arrested or detained, but was "simply given a citation for possession of marijuana and released on her own recognizance." She added, "This will not interfere with any future scheduled performances or activities."
Lauren was recently part of another controversy after pictures of her kissing Carlos Vives' daughter, Lucy Vives, were published and made her publicly confess that she is bi-sexual.
The singer also shared a new song with Marian Hill this past week called “Back To Me.” The song had more than a million listeners on Spotify on its first week.
