It looks like the insanely popular and acclaimed survivor game "The Last of Us" will indeed be getting a sequel. IGN reports Naughty Dog spilled the beans in a recent live stream, where they were to talk about the forthcoming "Nathan Drake Collection" - a compilation of the three "Uncharted" titles, re-released in remastered form.
During the live stream presentation Eric Monacelli, Naughty Dog's community strategist, spoke to two key staff from "Uncharted" - Eric Baldwin the lead animator and Josh Scherr, the series' writer. As Den of Geek points out at one point Scherr stumbles over his words when talking about "Uncharted's" facial animations saying:
"By the way, all the facial animation in the Uncharted series was led by Eric here," Scherr says, motioning to Eric Baldwin, "and the first The Last of Us."
Scherr then becomes panicked and quickly adds, "Did I say the first The Last of Us? Uh... the first of The Last of Us. The Last of Us." While Scherr flounders, Monacelli and Baldwin can be seen chuckle awkwardly. Check it out for yourself in the clip below:
The "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" will arrive to platforms Oct. 7.
