'The Last' Naruto Movie Character Leaked: A New Kage Unveiled? [IMAGES]

"The Last: Naruto The Movie" release date is Dec. 6, 2014 at Japanese theaters. With only a month and a half until its release, we're excited to see some new leaks coming from manga creator Masashi Kishimoto's sketchbook. Now, a new "mysterious" character to appear in "The Last: Naruto the Movie" has been teased in the 48th issue of Shonen Jump.

Details on the newest design from Kishimoto is limited, but the magazine describes him as a "handsome young man with a well-proportioned face" and is linked to the original manga. While we find this mysterious new Naruto character difficult to recognize from the original anime, we wager that he is the same age as Naruto would be in "The Last" movie.

Perhaps the most interesting element of the latest character design is the signature kage cloak as well as a crescent moon emblem located on the upper back. Could the new mysterious character be a new kage from an obscure village?

Discerning Naruto fans will remember the ninja village Getsugakure from Tsuki no Kuni, or the Land of the Moon. The Getsugakure hidden village was first featured in "Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom." What's more, a ninja wearing a crescent moon emblem on a forehead protector was also seen during the Chunin Exams, although it was never mentioned or shown again.

"The Last: Naruto the Movie" will be the first Naruto film in the past two years. However, "The Last" is also the beginning of the end as a part of the "Naruto Shin Jidai Kaimaku Project" (Naruto's New Era Opening Project) that marks the Naruto manga's 15th anniversary. What's more, the manga will officially ends on Nov. 10.

Beyond the new character, we know that "The Last: Naruto The Movie" will be responsible to addressing a number of unanswered questions. First, we mentioned a new CD cover art for Sukima Switch, the popular jazz duo that will play the theme song for the new Naruto movie. The CD cover art features Naruto and Hinata sharing a rather sentimental moment in a quiet forest, which is driving a lot of buzz concerning Naruto's romantic life. What's more, fans will be keen to know that the movie's tagline reads "The final story is a first love."

Additional characters that will star in the upcoming "The Last: Naruto The Movie" include Sakura, Sai, Rock Lee, Shikamaru, Temari, Gaara, Ten Ten, and Choji.
