MIX5 is the new Latino music super Group that comes out of the top reality Show “La Banda,” culminating its second season just this Sunday.
Puerto Rican Christian Castro, Dominican New Yorker Garmandy Candelario, Taishmara Rivera from Puerto Rico, Brian Cruz from Cuba and Danelly Hoyer, from Monterrey, Mexico are the winners of the competition and the members of the new group that was awarded with a recording music contract from Sony Music Latin.
“Following the tremendous success of our first season’s winning all-male band CNCO, we were especially excited to see what adding girl power to the mix would bring,” said Lourdes Diaz, President of Entertainment, Univision Studios.
During the final ceremony, many musical performances took place including first season winning group, CNCO with their single “Para enamorarte” and urban artist Farruko who performed a medley of his hits “Chillax” and “Obsesionado.” The show’s judges, Wisin, Laura Pausini and Mario Domm, also took the stage to perform some of their greatest hits.

We thank and congratulate everyone involved, coaches, choreographers, and of course, our wonderful judges Laura Pausini, Mario Domm and Wisin for their invaluable contribution in the creation of this great new band.”
Members of the new group MIX5, are eager to head for the studio and get to work on their first album. We definitely look forward to hear from them soon.
