It seems the highly anticipated "Kingdom Hearts III" and "Final Fantasy XV" titles could make an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show this year. In an interview with Twinfinite, Hirokazu Kamamura talked a bit about the success of the next-generation consoles, the Xbox One and PS4, in Japan along with big titles that can make the devices even more of a success.
The PS4 launched earlier this year in Japan and started off strong but sales have gone down due to a lack of games catered to the Japanese community. The Xbox One has yet to launch in the region but, the original console and the 360 has not sold well for the same reason.
There are however two games that can make a difference in the sales of the next-generation consoles, KH3 and FFXV. Square Enix has been keeping hush about both titles as the company has been focused on the development and release of "Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMix." The games were noticeably absent from E3 2014 but now that KH2.5 officially has a release date we may see the titles at Tokyo Games Show.
Hirokazu Kamamura teased that a big PS4 game will be showcased at TGS 2014 and our money is on "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy XV." Unfortunately, he did not provide any hints at what the project could be. With the exception of a few games, a majority of Japanese publishers are focused on releasing new games on handheld devices.
Both KH3 and FFXV were revealed at E3 2013 but news regarding the titles have been sparce since then. Both Square Enix games are expected to release sometime in 2015.
