Many fans were expecting to hear possible news regarding "Kingdom Hearts III" at San Diego Comic-Con primarily because the games director, Tetsuya Nomura, and Square Enix were in the house but unfortunately that was not the case. However, Haley Joel Osment was also attending the conference and if you're familiar with the Kingdom Hearts franchise then you know he's the voice of the protagonist Sora.
While there IGN spoke with Osment about his potential involvement with KH3, but the Sora actor refused to give a direct answer saying:
"I am not allowed to share, we've done a couple of installments on paper, [I'm] not allowed to share anything about it. I know Kingdom Hearts fans are really loyal and won't be disappointed by whatever we get around to in future." Check out the video of Osment answering the question below.
Fans have been anxiously awaiting any news on the title especially since it was missing from E3 last month. Square Enix explained that there focus has been on "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix" which is expected to launch December 2014. But now that the title is done co-director Tai Yasue revealed in an interview with Game Informer that the production team will be working "full throttle" on KH3.
If its worth anything, Osment is not listed as being involved with the project on his IMDB page. "Kingdom Hearts III" is heading for the Sony PS4 and Microsft Xbox One. Though no release window has been revealed many are speculating that the title will most likely launch Q2 of 2015.
