While some might think this is a bad-taste joke, the reality is that Kim Kardashian has become a star out of thin air. Her pregnant body is already immortalized by a life-size sculpture by renown artist Daniel Edwards, who decided to do a sculpture of the socialite as a reflection on America's obsession with celebrity culture.
"I was inspired by the beauty of Kim Kardashian and felt quite put-off by the media's criticism of her weight gain during pregnancy," said Edwards in a press release. "Such criticism should be off-limits."

Edwards has made a name by doing very realistic depictions, in different materials, of nude pregnant women in the past, including a piece that rendered Britney Spears mid-birth on a bearskin rug.
"We live in a media-absorbed culture where anyone can access and share a celebrity's most intimate moments," says Edwards' publicist. "Daniel visually captures that intimacy."
The piece is not for sale ... for now.
