Kim Kardashian has reportedly defended Pete Davidson after Kanye West posted an appalling meme, seemingly making fun of their break up.
The 41-year-old beauty mogul quickly came to Davidson's defense after West uploaded an Instagram photo of a made-up New York Times newspaper with the headline "Skete Davidson dead at age 28" following Kardashian and Davidson's separation. It includes a message at the bottom, "Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers."
A source close to the star told Daily Mail, "Kim won't stand for this. She is demanding that Kanye take the post down, but he won't. She has been vigorously defending Pete. She'll never get back together with Kanye over the way he's treated the people she loves and respects."
"She has tried incredibly hard to have a good co-parenting situation for the children. She won't stand for this type of behavior from him." Meanwhile, the rapper and record producer removed the post from his Instagram account after several hours.
Kardashian and Davidson confirmed to have separated ways after nine months of being together because of their busy schedules and long-distance relationship. Davidson is currently in Australia filming his new movie while Kardashian remains in the United States, busy with her work and taking care of her children.
The reality star and the comedian met in October 2021 when Kardashian made a guest appearance on "Saturday Night Live."
Sources firmly denied emerging reports that Kardashian split with Davidson over his "immaturity." The source added, "Kim has been very sad about the breakup with Pete – it's not where she thought it would be and that's been hard for her. The distance and schedules weighed into their decision but they do love and respect each other. She will always care for him and have his back." In fact, Kardashian is "very sad" about her split from Davidson, a source told Page Six.
West has been seen targeting Davidson on social media since the start of his relationship with Kardashian. The former couple, who have four children together —North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, are reportedly co-parenting their children since she filed for divorce in January 2021.
