Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West last year, after more than six years of marriage and four kids. Kardashian finally opened up about what led to the separation of one of Hollywood's most talked-about couples.
"For so long, I did what made other people happy," Kardashian said in the March issue of Vogue magazine for its cover story. "And I think in the last two years I decided, I'm going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it's important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I've chosen myself. I think it's okay to choose you."
During the shoot, the team gathered to photograph Kardashian and her four children, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm in Hidden Hills, California, estate. "My 40s are about being Team Me. I'm going to eat well. I'm going to work out. I'm going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy. I'm going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don't want to see something on Instagram. Khloé came up with the best phrase for that yesterday. She said, 'Post and ghost.'"
Kardashian also shared that a lot of people make her happy. Her group includes Allison Statter, whose father Irving Azoff chaired MCA Music Entertainment Group in the '80s while Kardashian's father, Robert Kardashian Sr., ran the promotions department. "She genuinely wants the best for everyone. She's never been vindictive or mean. She'll do anything for anyone who comes into her orbit."
The reality TV star believed great co-parenting is very important for kids. She also values privacy, especially when it comes to her family. However, her estranged husband Kanye West has been publicly called her out regarding his issues, the latest being his objection to daughter North being on TikTok.
Kardashian, who filed to be legally single last year, is now in a relationship with Pete Davidson. Meanwhile, West is currently linked to actress Julia Fox.
The 44-year-old rapper posted took to Instagram Wednesday and posted images of the cover shoot, including those of the kids, which he captioned, "GOD PLEASE BRING OUR FAMILY BACK TOGETHER."
