The Kardashians are taking over Cuba! The reality TV stars are heading to the communist country to shoot scenes for the twelfth season of their popular show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” sources revealed on Tuesday.

Univision reports that the Kardashians have yet to discuss further details about their upcoming adventure, as well as the members of the family that will be joining Kim, Kourtney and Khloe on the island episodes.

According to US Weekly, the famous sisters will meet in Miami, where Kourtney is currently spending some quality time with her three kids, Mason, Penelope and Reign, and they will travel together to Havana in the next few days.

This is not the first time The Kardashians take their TV show to another country. A few weeks ago, Kim and Kourtney travelled to Iceland to film new material for the series. They have also visited Thailand, Greece and Bora Bora.

When the news broke, The Guardian was one of the first serious publications to make fun of the situation with an article titled “Keeping up with the Kommunists: the Kardashians head for Cuba,” where witty writer Emine Saner compares their visit to the Cuban revolution.

“So what can we expect from the Kardashians’ trip, as seen through their various media channels?” Saner questions. “The three of them perched on a mint-green 1950s Chevy, obviously. A selfie in front of a Che Guevara mural (#Our every action is a battle cry against imperialism [heart emoji] [smiley face])?”

Stay tuned to find out if Saner’s predictions come true next week!

After the Obama administration announced that it would allow individuals to travel to the island for “people to people” educational trips back in March, celebrities such as William Levy, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez immediately ventured into the land of ropa vieja, arroz con pollo, tostones, cortaditos and cigars.
