The two major Spanish-language television networks in the United States, Telemundo and Univision, have announced special coverage for the upcoming presidential elections, which will see Kamala Harris (D) facing Donald Trump (R) for a new four-year term.

With real-time updates and in-depth reporting from key battleground states, both networks aim to keep viewers informed every step of the way to determine who will take the presidential seat in the White House for the 2025-2029 term.

Telemundo's Coverage: 'Decisión 2024'

Telemundo's coverage will feature a multiplatform approach, broadcasting across television and streaming from the 'Telemundo Center.' The comprehensive political event coverage could signify a pivotal moment for Latinos, especially if Donald Trump wins, given his history of threats regarding the deportation of undocumented individuals in the U.S.

The coverage is set to begin early on the morning of Tuesday, November 5, and can be accessed via regular cable TV channels and streaming services such as Noticias Telemundo AHORA and NoticiasTelemundo.com.

Julio Vaqueiro and Arantxa Loizaga will host the special broadcast, with additional analysis and commentary from presenters such as Johana Suárez, Rogelio Mora-Tagle, and Vanessa Hauc. They will discuss US politics, the balance of power in Congress, voting outcomes in key states, and other important races.

The coverage will extend beyond the announcement of the elected president. On Wednesday, November 6, Claudia de la Fuente, Guad Venegas, Damià Bonmatí, Nicole Suárez, and Octavio Pulido, among others, will provide an in-depth analysis of the results and their implications for the Latino community in North America.

Univision's Coverage: 'Destino 2024'

Univision, the other leading Latino network in the U.S., has also revealed its comprehensive election coverage, which will span traditional television, its website, and streaming via Vix.

With experienced journalists such as Jorge Ramos, Ilia Calderón, and Enrique Acevedo at the forefront, Univision will start its coverage at 7:00 a.m. (ET) with uninterrupted programming entirely focused on political content.

Programs like 'Despierta América' and 'La Voz de la Mañana,' featuring hosts María Antonieta Collins, Satcha Pretto, Paulina Sodi, Alan Tacher, and Karla Martínez, will track the start of voting, electoral developments, and news relevant to the Latino community in the U.S.

Starting at 3:00 p.m. (ET), Univision will continue with 12 hours of continuous live coverage, including real-time results, candidate speeches, and reactions.

Additionally, Univision's news team—Andrés Echevarría, Félix de Bedout, Blanca Rosa Vilchez, Elián Zidan, Maity Interiano, Carolina Sarassa, Luis Megid, and Pedro Rojas—will collaborate with reporters stationed in key states such as Pennsylvania, New York, Washington, and North Carolina to provide up-to-the-minute updates.

The eyes of the world will be on the United States as Harris and Trump face off for the presidency, culminating in the official inauguration on January 20, 2025.
