Kate Middleton Is Reportedly Upset Over Estrangement From Prince Harry, Meghan Markle

Kate Middleton has been reportedly upset about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure from their roles as senior working royals.

"Everything with Harry and Meghan has been hugely stressful, but if anything, it's pulled [her and William] closer together. She was upset about it because [William] was so upset. Seeing her husband so distraught was tough," said an insider.

According to PEOPLE, the Duchess of Cambridge took Harry and Meghan's accusations of mistreatment and racism to heart and had been "really, really upset about it all."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave a bombshell interview to Oprah Winfrey earlier this year. They disclosed that there were "concerns and conversations about how dark [their son Archie's] skin might be when he's born," this was followed by Prince William's statement to the reporters, "We are very much not a racist family."

William and Duchess Kate have supported each other throughout the Royal Family's current estrangement from Harry and Meghan. Last month, it was reported that Kate was quick to change the subject during a visit to a school when one of the students asked about Harry and Meghan. She responded promptly, "What else?"

Kate has not mentioned anything specific about Harry and Meghan on public even though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were continually involved in British tabloids issues.

Royal exparts have shown admiration for Kate's recent increase in responsibilities and labeled her the best possible candidate for the position. Another insider close to the royal household added that she is "more and more impressive as time goes on."

Harry and Meghan stepped down from their role as senior royal family members in January 2020. They moved to California with their children, Lilibeth and Archie. Meghan has not been back and has never visited the United Kingdom since her final engagements as a royal in March 2020.

Meanwhile, the 95-year-old Queen Elizabeth has been recently reported to have postponed and canceled some of her public activities due to health concerns.
