In his version of events, award-winning rapper and songwriter Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, claimed he once met Kim Kardashian‘s ex Ray J to retrieve an alleged second sex tape, ultimately preventing it from doing its rounds online.
“I went and got the laptop from Ray J myself that night,” West, 44, said during an interview on "Hollywood Unlocked" With Jason Lee. “I met this man at the airport, then got on a red-eye, came back [and] delivered it to her at 8 a.m.”
The “Donda” singer then went on to insist that Kardashian, 41, was relieved when he returned the alleged tape. He claimed the beauty mogul became emotional when she saw the footage, Page Six reported.
“Because it represents how much she’s been used. It represents how much people didn’t love her and they just saw her as a commodity,” the Yeezy fashion designer explained.
He would also ramble about Kim’s sneaky move to invite him to “Saturday Night Live '' in October last year. Kanye gave Kim tips for a spot-on hosting gig only to be slapped in the face by kissing comedian Pete Davidson during a skit.
"How are you gonna bring me to SNL and kiss the dude you're dating right in front of me? And everybody's like, 'Oh that's cool,'" he said.
However, Kardashian’s camp was quick to shoot down Ye’s assertions. Her rep said that following a thorough review of the content, “there was nothing sexual unseen,” according to Entertainment Tonight.
"Kim remains firm in her belief that there is no new second tape that exists. After 20 years, she truly wishes to move on from this chapter with the focus instead on the positive things she continues to do as a mother, entrepreneur, and advocate for justice," Kim's camp continued.
In 2007, the Skims founder rose to fame after her sex tape with Ray J, 41. Shortly thereafter, her family released the first season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” making their clan a household name.
The reality show ran for 20 seasons from 2007 to 2021, and featured Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, Rob Kardashian; Kris, Kylie, Kendall, and Caitlyn Jenner, the U.S. Magazine noted.
Late last year, in an appearance on the “Bootleg Kev” podcast, Ray J’s former manager, Wack 100, bragged he has the second sex tape of the controversial duo. The record executive, 43, then joked he would “gift” the video to either Ray J or West because releasing it in public would be disrespectful.
