Justin Bieber has made headlines yet again ... but this time as a sidekick. The troubled star was reportedly stopped at Munich Airport in Germany for not having the proper documents to bring his capucine monkey into the country.
The monkey was put in quarantine with authorities, and as of Monday there is no word on whether monkey and singer have been reunited.
While we wait for an update, here are five other celebrities and the not-so-ordinary animals of their lives:
1. George Clooney's Vietnamese pig, Max
This might just be Clooney's longest relationship ever. The actor owned a 300-pound pig named Max for 18 years until he passed in 2006. They were so close that reportedly Clooney let Max sleep in his bed.
2. Michael Jackson's chimpanzee, Bubbles
Bubbles was Jacko's most faithful companionship in the late 80s. The singer stated that the chimp used his toilet, helped him clean, and used a spoon and fork at the dinner table. But their love affair ended in 2002 when Bubbles was removed from Jackson's Ranch because he became too aggressive. The chimp currently lived at the Center for Great Apes in Florida.
3. Mike Tyson's pigeons
Although in comedy megahit "The Hangover" tough-guy boxer Tyson owned a tiger, in real life he has professed his love of pigeons more than once. The love affair started when the boxer was only 11, and he got into a fight with a bully who tore the head off one of the pigeons.
4. Nicholas Cage's octopus
Cage is no stranger to weird pets - he allegedly spent over $200,000 on two cobras, Moby and Sheba. But weirdest of them all is his pet octopus, which he reportedly acquired so it would help him with his acting.
5. Reese Whiterspoon's donkeys, Honky and Tonky
The "Legally Blonde" actress got a pair of donkeys in 2010, reportedly after falling in love with some of her friends' pets. "They're docile and sweet," she told Ellen DeGeneres. But apparently, they are not ... The animals have been making so much noise that the neighbors have sent her a letter to complain, Us Weekly reports.
