Julián Gil was scheduled to spend time with his son Matías in court today, but he failed to show up according to Televisa Espectaculos. "Matías has showed up to visit Julián Gil," the tweet reads. "The lawyers of the mother of the baby say that they have only missed two appointments, because of vacation and say that Gil has missed nine visits between may and november." On radio show Fórmula Espectacular, they said that Julián had already made the court aware that he would not be able to attend as he was scheduled to shoot scenes from the telenovela "El Despacho" at Televisa. So if the court knew of this, Marjorie de Sousa's defense is trying to maybe persuade the public opinion against the actor.
Julián Gil and Marjorie de Sousa have been battling in court for the better part of the year. Recently a judge approved a DNA test to be practiced on the baby to prove that Gil is his father and continue fighting for his rights. The date for the test has been set and it will be on Thursday, January 4, 2018, according to Univision Entertainment. The Televisa heartthrob has taken to social media to retweet news articles that reporte on the date and replied "amen" and "justice" on some of the posts. In the end, this is a step forward in trying to close this chapter that is affectong not only Julián and Marjorie, but Matías, who is not even a year old and has already been exposed to so much.
In mid-November, Gil scored a legal battle when the judge approved the DNA test to prove his paternity. "I am very happy because basically what I've been asking and that he has, as the Mexican Constitution states, that he know what's his origin," Gil told the press outside the court at the time (via Univision Entertainment). "Fortunately the judge accepted all the evidence and now we would need to set a date for the text in the upcoming days," he added. "I imagine and I want to imagine that [Marjorie] is very happy because we are going to know how things are and justice starts working."
Hours after the good news, Julián took to Instagram to share a touching message accompanied by a photo of the actor holding his newborn son. "Let the world know that you are my son," the caption read. "Thank you to the Mexican justice for ruling in our favor to prove that you Matías Gil have my blood. We will soon have the DNA test as the judged asked to."
Marjorie de Sousa previously blocked Julián Gil from spending time with his son outside of court, claiming the latter didn't give the name of the nurses who would be with the baby. Julián showed up in court, but Matías did not arrive. "I was left waiting for you my son," he wrote. "I've had difficult days and once again today the misses is making fun of everyone and my son Matías after months of struggles to be able to be with my son and the judge that looks over the case and is in my favor giving me the right to share time with my Mati outside of the court."
