Ever since he had the brilliant idea to drop ---not one, but two (and three on the way)--- duet albums, Juan Gabriel has been unstoppable! It hasn't even been a month since Juanga dropped the music video for "Yo Te Recuerdo" featuring Marc Anthony and he's already presenting his new video with Marco Antonio Solis. Heck, we're starting to believe that the iconic singer films his music videos in one day!
After the two legendary Mexican artists performed at the 2016 Billboard Latin Music Awards, they introduce their newest production titled "Se Me Olvido Otra Vez." The record was originally recorded in 1974 by El Divo de Juarez and included on his album "Juan Gabriel con el Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlán." In 1999, Mexican rock band Maná released a pop/rock version. Now, Marco Antonio Solis adds his romanticism to the all-time classic.
The video, which dropped Tuesday, does not only flaunt Gabriel's and Solis' undeniable friendship, but it also showcases the many colorful sceneries from Mexico and its culture.
"Se Me Olvido Otra Vez" is part of Gabriel's recent studio album, "Los Dúo," a production that features 10 tracks ---all of which are Juanga's all-time classics! After also collaborating with artists such as Fifth Harmony, Juanes and Natalia Lafourcade in the first "Los Dúo" album released early 2015, the "Te Sigo Amando" singer unleashed a second part featuring brand new collabs.
In "Los Dúo 2," already available on Apple Music and Google Play, the Mexican singer spices things up with all types of special guests! Pop artists such as Belinda, Paty Cantu and Franco de Vita jumped on board as did alternative artists Andres Calamaro and Carla Morrison. Then there's the participation of urban artists J Balvin and Wisin, who each add their Colombian and Puerto Rican sazon to the project.
One of the tracks we're most excited about is "Lagrima y Lluvia," featuring the late Joan Sebastian. The single was recorded prior to El Rey del Jaripeo's passing in 2015. Although it was rumored, we don't see an Elton John collaboration anywhere in this production. Perhaps "Los Dúo 3" ---which is already in the works--- will surprise us!
