José Ron is in the middle of controversy again and this time because he was allegedly extremely violent with his girlfriend Daniela Álvarez. The rumor was that the telenovela actor tried to physically attack her and choke her during the Erika Zaba's wedding after he got jealous for seeing Álvarez dancing with another woman. Ron is now breaking his silence about the incident and clearing up the rumors.
"Of course not, never in my life would I ever attack a woman," he said in an interview picked up by Fórmula Espectacular. "It's very grave what they are saying because they are putting me as a drug addict, violent person capable of choking and abusing mi partner." He also added: "What happened between us, as a couple, if we talk about it, what do we have for each other. I can tell you that we are fine, we have not broken up, I love her with all of my heart and I know she loves me with all of her heart and there was evidently a misunderstanding, like it happens with any couple. I don't want to call it a heated conversation, but a misunderstanding, and I don't think it's fair that they say something that it's not."
Ron was asked if he thinks this would affect his public image. "I don't know," he replied. "Honestly, I don't care what people say about me, I don't care what people think about me because I know who I am, I know the person that I am, Daniela knows who I am, my family knows what I am. What ever that is published I don't have to come out to deny it because it's draining and I think that in this industry there's always going to be gossip and I can't always come out to clear things up especially coming from a magazine that makes things up and that we know is a magazine that destroys."
Álvarez has also weighed in and denied the reports of violence against her. "It's very different a tug than to affirm there was an intent of choking someone," she said. "In our discussion I did call my parents because someone had to pick me up and what was best was that my parents would go for me. Ones parents will always be there for you even if I were in China."
José Ron will next appear on Univision in the telenovela called "Enamorándome de Ramón." In the series he plays Ramón, Juana’s son, a young man who is highly skilled at mechanics; he is honest, generous, and hardworking. He used to live in Tijuana and fell in love with Sofía there, who was compelled to break his heart in order to protect him. Heartbroken, he travels to the capital city and following on his friend Dalia’s advice, he asks for a job at the mechanic’s workshop she works for which turns out to be the Medina’s. He falls in love with Fabiola upon meeting her and this wins him Francisco’s rejection. He supports his mother as much as he can so that nobody hurts her with the inheritance issue. When Sofía shows up looking for him again and finds him with Fabiola, she will fight for her true love.
