Actress, comedian and host of Fashion Police, Joan Rivers died in New York on Thursday less than a week after suffering cardiac arrest during a routine medical procedure. We had been reporting throughout the week that Rivers had been on life support at Mount Sinai hospital in New York City after she had stopped breathing during a throat procedure at the Yorkville Endoscopy clinic last Thursday.
Rivers reinvented herself to a younger generation through the E! show Fashion Police which she had been the host of for the past 12 years. In one such episode, Joan and the gang discussed the growth of athletes in the world of fashion. Rivers, Guilana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos discussed the individual styles of athletes on an episode in 2013.
The always vocal and straight forward Rivers, called soccer superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo “pretty” and the panel called Ronaldo one of the “Sixteen Most Stylish Athletes”. We remember Joan Rivers today and throughout the week with many of her most funny and famous moments. Rivers was fearless, hilarious and always spoke her mind no matter who was offended by it.
