For those of you awaiting news regarding Netflix original series "Jessica Jones" you're in luck as showrunner Melissa Rosenberg has shared some interesting details regarding the show. Speaking at TCA summer press tour, Rosenberg promised that the series will indeed include material from the comic that introduced the world to the character, "Alias," Den of Geek reports.
"It all starts with Brian Michael Bendis’s Alias series. He created this incredibly flawed, damaged interesting character," Rosenberg said. "Regardless of gender, it was the character that drew me. He wasn’t afraid to go there and we went even further. We’ve gone further in all of our storytelling."
Rosenberg also revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Marvel fans may also see the character in her short-lived costumed alter egos Knightress and Jewel. Even more she announced a guest star from another Marvel/Netflix original series having said, "I think I'm allowed to say: Rosario Dawson will be dropping in."
This isn't so surprising as Marvel previously announced that Dawson had signed a deal that would have her return for "Daredevil’s" second season, as well as make appearances in any of the four "Defenders" series. As far as other guest stars are concerned Rosenberg promised, "smaller characters that populated that world will be popping in."
As far as the logo is concerned it is not very telling but it's good to see regardless. Check it out below:
We don't know an exact release date but we are expecting to see "Jessica Jones" arrive on Netflix later this year.
