She’s still Jenny from the block! Jennifer Lopez was recently spotted in the Castle Hill neighborhood of the Bronx, where she closed 2013 shooting her new music video for her song “Same Girl.” The sexy Puerto Rican diva got in touch with her roots and her old ‘hood and caused a frenzy among fans and residents who praised JLo for being real and always remembering where she started. Wearing jeans, a black jacket and a Yankees cap, the singer was spotted shooting the dance sequences along with several other ladies.
“Same Girl” was a collaboration written by Jennifer, Chris Brown and Cory Rooney. The music video was directed by Steven Gomillion and Dennis Leupold, who have previously worked with the diva in other projects. Rumors suggest that the premiere for JLo’s new material is scheduled for Thursday, Jan 16, on American Idol, where she’s returning this season as a judge next to Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. The “Live it up” singer took to Instagram some snapshots of her return to the Bronx. In one of the pics she’s leaning on a fence with a group of people behind it. She captioned that shot “THANK YOU #myhood #CastleHill #Bronx #NY #SAMEGIRL.”
In another photo she uploaded, JLo was surrounded by residents, that gathered to take a picture with the famous singer. “The Bronx!!! #SAMEGIRL,” she captioned that one. And a third photo, which is the one making rounds online, the curvy performer stands on a train platform, waiting for the subway and teaching the world how to wear a winter ensemble and still look fantastic. “On the 6...;) #album10 #SAMEGIRL,” she wrote, referencing her first studio album, which got its name after the train she had to take everyday to commute to the city.
