Lopez will receive the Grace Kelly Prize at the eighth annual March of Dimes luncheon on Friday at a hotel in Beverly Hills. Jennifer Lopez will be recognized as a celebrity mother who is sets an examplay example of motherhood with her beautiful, caring family.
The March of Dimes is a 75-year-old organization that works to prevent congenital deformities, premature births and infant mortality. The group is honoring Jenifer Lopez in part because her pregnancy and birth to twins went so smoothly, with both children being carried to term and born healthy and happy with a smooth birth. "As a mom myself, I am conscious of the importance of a pregnancy and of a healthy baby," said Lopez.
The president and executive director of A&E Nancy Dubuc and doctor Balaji Govindaswami, chief of medicine at the recently inaugurated Medical Center of the Valley of Santa Clara will also be honorees. Reese Witherspoon was honored last year.
